I request our politicians , not to make this as political issue rather think about this issue and take needful steps.

indian government should concentrate on internal security than a border

G Dhiman - NAKODAR

I condemn these attacks by these terrorists and whichever agency they belong to. I am also shocked that we are so vulnerable that in such a scenario, we just keep looking around helplessly, not knowing whom to ask for answers. As a common man, after so many attacks on us across almost all our cities, I need to know an answer to a simple question: what do I expect the next time something like this happens?

If politicians do not bother to protect us and only protect their "MONEY" intrest and their "GADDI", we sould unite to take care ourselves.

G R Prasad - Trivandrum

Home Ministry and Defence Ministry should jointly come up with a plan for alleviating the fears of the common man about national security. With India gaining in prominence on the wor ld stage, there will be many who would want to do us harm, so in this environment, being a little paranoia as opposed to our normal "chalta hai" attitude could actually work to secure many innocent lives.

G Saravanan - Chennai

This is atrocious....!!! We a country of Billion people was shaked by 10 cowrds ...!!! We need to be united at this moment. Our Intelligence, Our Defense, Army, Airforce need to work closely. There should be an Federal Buera reporting directly to President.which should be placed in on major cities. Equip our defense with High tech equipments (future weapons) . Media should act sensible, rather than creating hue and cry just be beat competition.

G Srinivas Reddy - Bangalore

We are always in a Re-active mode.We wait for the Bomb to fall on our door step, then we will react. We wait for the Extrimists attack, then we react. We wait for some one to criticise, we will we will try to look the Gaps. This is NOT AT ALL an Charecterstic of a Developing and strong nation. At least now start learning from the Lessons in the past and also Near past. Lets go ahead put a global drive in place to put pressure on these elements and earmark these geographies RIGHT NOW AND SIMPLY CORNODN THEM. Is it not a wise thing to learn how US has driven the Iraqi campanign after 9/11.

WAR ON TERROR is only a lip service. No one is seriously addressing the issues involved. What we do is cry after every terrorist attack. What the international community should do is plub the conduits of money flow. Money gets into the hands of terrorist (1) Drug Trafficking. Why is US and the do called fighters of terror not burning up the opium fileds of Afganistan/Thailand? (2) Bring in stringent punishment for havala participants. Hardest punishment to those who hand over hard currency abroad to the agents, next those who recive in India and then only the agents. (3) Isolate countries who fund these terrorist. Everyone knows which country(ies) are doing this. (4) Have a monitoring system on weapon makers (5) Introduce stricter rules on sale of chemicals used for explosive (6) Introduce tamper proof single id card for all citizens. No one can buy a bus, train or air ticket without producing this id card. Control movement of non-citizens by proper travel documents (7) go on a HOT PURSUIT of wanted criminals by an international commando force.

G UNNIKRISHNAN NAIR - Bhubaneswar

Should stay away from party politics and the Indians should jointly fight terrorism. Let the govt. give arms to our ex-service men they are capable of handling the situation without any problem.

G VIJAY - BOKARO STEEL CITY, JHARKHAND

Destroy those who took mumbai hostage. Its a shame we are raising voice now after we lost thousands of lives in the last 20 years of terrorism. But better late than never. Its time to give it back to the people who created havoc. But at the same time ensure that we weed out corruption from our lives because in this country anyone can get a ration card, passport, govt id by giving money. We have to curb that even if it means some amount of pain in our lives. My appeal is we need to allot better benifits to our army people specially jawans (nsg, bsf, ctc) instead of giving salary rise to Babus sitting in Income Tax office, etc.

G. Aravind Kumar - Hyderabad

Somebody has to pay for this.. I need to know who is that. A country should be ruled either by a male or a female, unfortunately we are lacking in it.

G. Bhanu Prakash - Hyderabad

I offer my deepest condolences to all the brave army jawans, commandos and cops who laid down their lives to save the rest of us. It fills me with pride to stand as one of their countrymen. However, there is a feeling that lingers in me, that a lot of their lives could have been saved with a bit more preparedness and better equipment.

No security for politicians--do politicians fear the public. compromise PM's like gujral, deve gowda not to be provided with nsg protection for life Since the legal process is slow no candidate to have jailable cases against them. minor cases like demos-acceptable

G.Chandramouliswer - Hyderabad

All Political partys should sink their differences and Ideologies and in the interest of the Nation fight for the Mother land. Gems like officers were killed by the Terrorists. A very sad day for thr Nation. I deeply moved for their death. Political parties only should be held responsible for their vote bank POLITICS. BHARATH MATHA KI JAI

Terrorism should be dealt with iron hand. It should never been allowed to grow. When the intelligence report receive, immediate precautionary meaure should be taken without any dealy. It should not be taken it lightly.

G.K.Athilat - New Bombay

It is high time that educated Indians gather together through a common platform to voice our concerns about our country's economics, politics and terrorism. I am glad that a web site like Billion Hands for a better tomorrow is giving this platform for all Indians to voice their concerns. Congrats! BHBT and wish you all the best.

Mumbai attack is black day for the whole world and we have to fight against people those who are invalve in terror. Let we pray for peaseful and green world.

G.KHANNAN - CHENNAI

Its time for the government to act instead of fighting for their piece of cake in Parliment. When 10 - 50 terrorists (including their Indian source) can bring the whole world stumbling with their intense training and sophisticated weapons, we took 60+ hours to bring them down even though we have dedicated and well trained commandos. It clearly shows their is a draw back in our side. To my knowledge, Intelligence sharing was tremendously good but the government had failed to implement it. Now they try to play musical chair by passing the blame on each other. Aftermath NSG commandos doesn't have sophisticated weapons like AK 56, night vision glasses, proper bullet proof jacket etc to tackle those deadly extremists in the hours of need which took the toll to 200+. So please please please do something to tackle terror, for the sake of our country & to safe guard its citizens including the so called politicians.

g.lavanya - coimbatore

still if u want to continue the smooth relationship with pakistan then it may be an invitation to another terror attack which no indian can tolerate.Because they are laughing infront of you while pulling your leg behind you.dear politicians if u are really interested to save the country by all means this is the right time to take some hard steps against the culprits.otherwise our own people may become a terrorists against you people.

we should realize spending millions of rupees for security [where everyday lot of people die due to poverty] is not feasible. But what we can do is revamp our police force by disintegrating politicians and police. Thus effectively reducing corruption in police force and political parties.

I am glad that atleast now we have thought of joining together to do something. But in all honesty, I cant help thinking, isit because this time the 'elite' class has been affected. Where were all of you when attacks happened in Ahmedabad, assam, kashmir, bangalore, and other parts of india. Even now I regret the saying 'Save Mumbai". Is mumbai not a part of India. When are we going to say 'Save India". I also strongly feel that we should join hands together not only against terrorism, but also corruption, and apathy. We should join hands to make the politicians accountable for their responsibilities. But I know it is simply a pipe dream. Because it shows, that with a people of billion, only 18,423 people have registered. So much for our national feelings. vazgha india, vazgha jananayagam

“hurt n burnt” The day of 26 novrmber enfolded in normal ways Bt nite was an eclipse tht engulfed the cuming days From Karachi they hailed Thru ship n boat they sailed. Around half past ten Yes thts when They got divided And reached uninvited 2 café leoopord, shivaji terminus, nd to hotel taj mahal and trident These dastard coward armed enuchs were Pakistani residents They fired blindly on whosoever they saw Their greed 4 lives was colossal and raw People were eating or talking and sum waiting for train There was no where 2 escape , all endeavours went in vain When these lunatic men strated undiscriminated firing. First believed 2 b a gang war,it turned out 2 b a terrorist attack. People woke up when they were hitting the sack. People at those places had no where to run How easy it is for us to play the blame games and give unrespectful titles to the leaders v elected, bt in this moment of hysteria when every one is furious, v all need to pause for a second and think that this blame game, where would it take us? this abruptly awkened nation will be prone to slumber if we dont tap this mass awekning which has happened.we need to aply this energy in a manner so that it could sustained over the period of time.we say that india has united in this hour of crisis but it hasnt, rite after the crisis india has allianated it self from its leader, the question is" to mark this as a transformation what could be done???"we as citizens who have different proffesional roles should all of us qiit are jobs and join poltics or v

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH: ARISE AND AWAKE Joining hands is not only the onus on us as the masses of this great land we inhabit but also of the law enforcement agencies and the political parties alike. The political leaders in this hour of conundrum should not be allowed to simply resign but to finish their mitigation of the crisis and let the popular mandate decide. i also want to convey to Mr. prime minister and his colleagues that they are not our rulers but public servants and should serve the masses with the same psyche. oUR RESILIENCE SHOULDNT be mistaken as our ignorance. YOUNG INDIAN HAS stirred his soul and no one can mislead us now. Startling is the numbness of chauvinistic and partisan leaders like Raj Thackeray who have decided to be a Moot listeners to the anguish of THE MARATHI MANUS!! My appeal to all fellow compatriots is to withhold their speculations and aprehensions and let the investigations take their own course. Lets not demand action on the basis of vague understandings but resolve to take proactive measures so tat such annihilation of our national prestige doesnt reiterate in future. ALSO MY SUGGESTION to the political establishment is to chop off and redirect a part of our hefty defence budget to reinvigorate and streamline our internal security infrastructure. WE CANT LET cost of external security being paid by urban insecurity. if there is anyone out there agreeing to above said comments or suggestions please leave your reaction at gagan_aggarwal@ymail.com. jai hind!

Its time for actions, its time we say this to people who are running our governments - that you are not the leaders, we are the leaders and you need to follow us, who unite as one against corruption, terrorism and all the ills that prevail on this world, all that is against humanity and all that we as the people of the world unitedly don't agree to! I am also shocked that we are so vulnerable that in such a scenario, we just keep looking around helplessly, not knowing whom to ask for answers. As a common man, after so many attacks on us across almost all our cities, I need to know an answer to a simple question: what do I expect the next time something like this happens? This come to us as a shock. We are ready to do whatever we can to avoid this for future and make our country a safe place to live.
