The politicians playing vote bank politics by using reservation & minority/ mejority emotions must be condmned and we must consider ourselves first as Indians and then only religion or cast may have any meaning. All Muslims have migrated to Pakistan and in India there are only Indians. Of course there may be some guest from other friendly countries.

Frequent terrorist attacks in diffrent metro.cities are taking place every now and then. The root cause established is the negihouring country habouring and aiding the terrorist attacks in which score of innocent people are dead. Every one in the street has started thinking whether he would reach his destination safely or not. These attacks must stop so that the people can live fearlessly and peacefully even at the cost of a War with Pakistan.

The Prime Minister is an experienced person and how can he let this happen to India. It is ok about the steps that he plans to take in response to the attack, but he should also take reponsibility for the attack and bring to book all culprits, including those in the establishment for the negligence in discharge of their duties. This is all an international game. Someone is gonna make money off this (Security and arms & ammo companies) and someone will loose money off it (the insurance company these hotels were insured under). What we see and are shown are just tip of the iceberg. Something of this mass scale and execution could have taken months of planning and training. Mumbai and hotel blueprints must have been leaked out ages ago. Our country is geat our leaders should not let us down.They should have confidence in themselves and in this country. Nobody on this earth can stop us from providing security to the lives of our citizens.Our leaders are under unfounded fear and self imposed nuclear black mail and pakistan is bleeding us for this. Firstly the Education & training at all levels i.e. schools / colleges / police/Army/Navy/ Air force has to be improved. Secondly proper support like finance, upgradation techniques/ proper materials must be given to them Compulsory 2/3 years of MILITARY TRAINING at College Level. Resources like our taxi wallahs must also be used in times of difficulties like terror strikes, accidents etc. So that the people do NOT suffer all hospitals should be allowed to do post mortems at such times. Voluntary organisations must set up tables along with properly trained volunters who would instantly come into action & give whatever supprot is needed to the effected persons. Only persons well educated, with proper common sense & NOT over paranoid people to be selected & upgraded as volunteers in the respective localities.A small arm band to be provided to voulnteers. All politicians must be properly educated, a certain minimum level must be in place. Corruption & lacksadical attitude at any Govt. level should NOT be tolerated by the General public. More policing with proper sub machine guns should be in place doing their duties and NOT sitting down & reading newspapers as several times observed by general public. The moment any kind / type of situation arises, armed police must be in place within 3 minutes of occurance. Let the people know you all are being constantly watched severly at all times, & get the RESPECT due to the POLICE FORCE, without ANY CORRUPTION.The person who passes on the money to any GOVT. Official must be more severly punished than the person accepting it.

All of us have one question why us? Why is it that we are the ones who are always the target for terror? One possible answer is that our government that we so enthusiastically voted for so that we are protected and secure in our homes has failed. We have been naive enough to once again get soft at their false promises.

Is India an adda for terrorists or the 'Country of Gods'? I am writing this to bring a change in people. This is my thought on how can we be better at protecting our country. At first let us answer this question ... Is India a safest place to live?. Before few years we would have said 'Yes it is' without any other thought, but I am sure now every one who have witnessed all the attacks from the last few years would say 'Hmmm ... Probably NOT!!!'. With terrorist attacks happening so frequently who can guarantee that one can live for long years. It is not only the lives of people at stake but also the Pride of India. Are terrorists living among us? Are local people helping them? Are the security measures to prevent such people entering into the country not enough? The answer should be yes for all these questions. This answer can be supported with the recent Mumbai attacks. An IPCS special report in 2006 reveals that a total of 17 terrorist attacks took place in the year span of 2000-06. In the last one and half year there are more attacks than ever before. A look at this link ... Islamic Attacks ... gives an idea of how many attacks are happening word wide and also many small attacks in India that were not in the news. All these stats speak about the increase in non-violence worldwide. One question for every one. Why do you get angry and cane your child? The answer is obvious "your child did a thing which you did not like". It is the same with terrorists as well. They did not like something which made them to use the non-violence as a weapon to get the attention of government and civilians. But the difference is when you cane your child you think of his bright future. But when terrorists cane the country I don't know whether they think of country's benefits, but I am sure that they are selfish people considering their own beliefs, just taking the non-violence step for killing people and harrassing them. There are speculations that Pakistan should be involved in this. It can be anyone other than Pakistan ... It can also be politicians in the country trying to create attention, just to prove that the current government is no good at securing people lives. All these actions for sure cannot spoil the relationships between communities in India. We have proved it before and we will prove it in future. Life is cool when you think the smart-way and it is a hard-ship when you think the hard-way. There is always a better way of doing things and if non-violence was the only way then there won't be any human living today. Many people have learnt this lesson before but there are still illiterates not knowing the better way to achieve their ... probably un-realistic goals. We Indians still believe that India is the 'Country of Gods', but probably it is also time to realize that we need to become more responsible than what we are now. We ignore many things in our life which when given attention will make sense ... I call it "attention to detail". We need to realize that there is nothing in life which can be taken for granted. We are intelligent but we only use it for our self purposes. We are aware of all the rules, social responsibilities but we just ignore them because they don't add any value to our personal life. Most of us do things because it benefits us or our family which is again self, self and self .. You should be thinking of self but not only about self. We can try this for three days and see how much more we are satisfied than living for ourselves. --Follow all rules and act socially-responsible - Traffic and any other rule --Suspect people intelligently --Finally, respect and greet everyone These may not secure your country completely but will give a chance to reduce them and more importantly make our country a better place to live in. Also this will be a lesson to the politicians. We cannot win people with anger. Why not win them the intelligent way. Finally I want to say that, you become a literate not with the knowledge gained through learning, but when you apply your knowledge in a practical situation. When everyone is socially-responsible literate we can see India 10 times more developed than how it is now. Just give yourself a chance to feel happy when you review your life later.
