I have joined the million hands to fight terror

The terror strikes in Mumbai greatly saddened and angered me. They have opened up frightening possibilities - those of the terrorists striking elsewhere with the same impunity as they have done in Mumbai. We Indians, irrespective of religion, caste, creed and other social differences, must join hands in thwarting the evil designs of the terrorists. Only in our unity is there hope of banishing terrorists from our soil.

I am grieved and ashamed of these attacks and the lackadaisical approach by the politicians & protection machinery. Appreciate the combined effort by the Police, NSG, Navy & Army in sanitising the terrorists. India being a democratic country is often misunderstood as tolerance to indiscipline and evation of the legal system. It is high time that we all stand up to claim our right to safe living environment and prudent governance. Apropos, would demand the following to be impplemented with immediate effect: 1) Section 49-O of the Indian Constitution giving right to the citizen to reject the electoral candidate by selecting an option to reject all, instead of the present system of abstaining or invalidating the vote. 2) National level Task force to collate all the available intelligence from IB, RAW and all such sources and act as a nodal agency to facilitte the information to the concerned civil & defence machinery & public at large. THis will ensure availability of the necessary 'correct' information to all users and help in coordinated efforts. This agency shall also have the highest powers to direct the protection forces in unison for a treason. 3) Strengthening the border security and visa processes for hi-alert countries where terrorism is a harboured or acts as a source of funding. 4) Upgrading the protection forces both technical & competence to be able to gain a better control over the civic system. 5) Political affiliation & interference on to social unrest or anti-social elements to be dealt with higher proportion over the offence of raping a minor child and arson. Those with their vested interests and agenda coming on way to national integrity or progress should be treated as criminals to national interest. Find all means & ways to communicate intolerance to anti-social acts and live by it. Actions speak louder than words. 5) Communalism, regional bias or reservations on the basis of religion, caste & creed creates a disbalance in the society. Like China, it should be based on the economic status, household income and the number of children only. 6) 1 year compulsory work in defence / protection force should be made compulsory as part of all graduations. This will not only increase the protection force, but also will instill a sense of discipline at a young age. 7) Legal systems needs a revamp in light of the present scernario. Amnesty is mockery to justice. 8) Promote Public-private partnership in primary & secondary education. Make India 100% literate.

Every time terrorists attack us we keep on discussing for a while and forget after sometime. First My heart felt condolence for the victims of the attack. I salute the commandoes and other police officers who laid down their live to save the people of India. I have participated several time in confesticating boats with crews &contraband goods &handed them to mumbai port customs while i was serving on board indian naval submarine in 70s our sea security is very poor any cleaver forign nationals can enter any of our port just by hoisting our national flag on their boats/small ships.singapore is the only contry in the whorld with zero crime.we have to adapt lotmany things from country like this regarding border securitys.once intruders are filterd then it is easy to handle our own national traiters thous terorist activitys can be reduced to considerable amount.

1.Create and implement a National Terror Response Plan within a defined time-frame. 2. Reduce security for VIPs who don't need it. 3. Publish a time-bound plan to make the Police independent of Politicians.

If we have confident in ourselves and if we stand strong no country , organization or individual can create trouble for us. No terrorist will dare to enter our country. So what we need is unity and end all type of mistrust between ourselves. We are 1BILLION+ population , its a big family, so there will be 1BILLION++ opinions. But when it come to our family's integrity and security we should keep away our differences whether it be political , religious , caste or regional. Politicians should stop "fishing in muddy water".
