I condemn these attacks by these terrorists and whichever agency they belong to. I am also shocked that we are so vulnerable that in such a scenario, we just keep looking around helplessly, not knowing whom to ask for answers. As a common man, after so many attacks on us across almost all our cities, I need to know an answer to a simple question: what do I expect the next time something like this happens? |

What is all these happening? a joke? Cant the govt understand the feelings of people, not only of mumbaikars but of the whole nation? Perhaps no... our politicians care abt only their votebanks.. and now because of these handful of terrorists india is on its way to become one of the weakest countries.. better the politicians give up their attitude towards votes and better work to eradicate terrorists. Only then people wil feel secure in their own country. Give the army, nsg's,al the antiterror units modernized weapons, everything needed to fight.. there is no need to show sympathy anger in front of media.. let they be in their work towards better future.. |

The terror strikes in Mumbai greatly saddened and angered me. They have opened up frightening possibilities - those of the terrorists striking elsewhere with the same impunity as they have done in Mumbai. We Indians, irrespective of religion, caste, creed and other social differences, must join hands in thwarting the evil designs of the terrorists. Only in our unity is there hope of banishing terrorists from our soil. |

I am grieved and ashamed of these attacks and the lackadaisical approach by the politicians & protection machinery. Appreciate the combined effort by the Police, NSG, Navy & Army in sanitising the terrorists. India being a democratic country is often misunderstood as tolerance to indiscipline and evation of the legal system. It is high time that we all stand up to claim our right to safe living environment and prudent governance. Apropos, would demand the following to be impplemented with immediate effect: 1) Section 49-O of the Indian Constitution giving right to the citizen to reject the electoral candidate by selecting an option to reject all, instead of the present system of abstaining or invalidating the vote. 2) National level Task force to collate all the available intelligence from IB, RAW and all such sources and act as a nodal agency to facilitte the information to the concerned civil & defence machinery & public at large. THis will ensure availability of the necessary 'correct' information to all users and help in coordinated efforts. This agency shall also have the highest powers to direct the protection forces in unison for a treason. 3) Strengthening the border security and visa processes for hi-alert countries where terrorism is a harboured or acts as a source of funding. 4) Upgrading the protection forces both technical & competence to be able to gain a better control over the civic system. 5) Political affiliation & interference on to social unrest or anti-social elements to be dealt with higher proportion over the offence of raping a minor child and arson. Those with their vested interests and agenda coming on way to national integrity or progress should be treated as criminals to national interest. Find all means & ways to communicate intolerance to anti-social acts and live by it. Actions speak louder than words. 5) Communalism, regional bias or reservations on the basis of religion, caste & creed creates a disbalance in the society. Like China, it should be based on the economic status, household income and the number of children only. 6) 1 year compulsory work in defence / protection force should be made compulsory as part of all graduations. This will not only increase the protection force, but also will instill a sense of discipline at a young age. 7) Legal systems needs a revamp in light of the present scernario. Amnesty is mockery to justice. 8) Promote Public-private partnership in primary & secondary education. Make India 100% literate. |

Every time terrorists attack us we keep on discussing for a while and forget after sometime. Once we get some other breaking news we divert our attention towards that so this should stop and it is the media which is more powerful nowadays take responsibilty in knocking the doors of the government relentlessly & make public aware always regarding their security is concern. The terrorists were their write from Ramayana period may be during that time they have been called as Rakshasa's and used to trouble and kill Rushimunis and public, but the King Rama protected all these Rushimunis and public if one is aware of Ramayana no need to explain in detail. So it is the duty of the Government to protect its citizen and if the government does its duty honestly i think we can overcome this problem. Look at the terrorist how perfect they were in carrying out their job assigned to them by thier group whichever group they belongs to. When the Goverment has been brought to power& they have been given some job by the public but they fail to do it |

First i offer my deepest condolences to all who lost their lives including our brave policemen and commandos.Pakistan is reaping the terror fruit which it cultivated to destabilize India, someone has to make them understand this effectively and the people of Pakistan should try to make a change in their whole system of approach towards India. Its a slow process but it will help at least the next generation of both the countries to live in peace. Also this problem has to be tackled only by India and Pakistan without any other country getting involved as most of those countries doesn't want India and Pakistan to be at peace. I'm sure if India and Pakistan have a friendly and cordial relationship Then We(India,Pakistan) can take the world by storm and lead the world in in all the fields. |

The time has come when the civil society should assert and demand accountability from the elected representative. The plan to counter terrorism and expose Pakistan should be clearly spelt out and known to the people. The implementation of the plan should be monitored by a group of respected persons from the society. Anybody raising the bogey of religion, caste, region, language etc should be duly snubbed. The only thing that should matter as a citizen is that we stand together and will find the ill of terrorism unitedly. |

First My heart felt condolence for the victims of the attack. I salute the commandoes and other police officers who laid down their live to save the people of India. Though democracy needs political system, the present politicians have reduced a brave country to a state of cowards.Had it not for the hundredbillions of its brave people the country would have been reduced to a mere state of spineless creatures. If we fail to act now we will be responssible to the future generation for our act of cowardice and nondecissivenes. We have every right to defend our sovernighty and we should not wait for others appoval for it.We as a county has enough strength to fight for our safety and security. Nonaction will only fuel the speculation of our weakness to act and defend. India should not delay in smashing the hideouts of the terrorists and haunting down them. The action will have twofold reactions.1st the terrorists will have second thoughts for again entering India,2ndly it will be a fitting tribute to the brave soldiers wholaid down theeir lives. Overall it will increase the cofidence of our people and our superiority will be established. |

If we have confident in ourselves and if we stand strong no country , organization or individual can create trouble for us. No terrorist will dare to enter our country. So what we need is unity and end all type of mistrust between ourselves. We are 1BILLION+ population , its a big family, so there will be 1BILLION++ opinions. But when it come to our family's integrity and security we should keep away our differences whether it be political , religious , caste or regional. Politicians should stop "fishing in muddy water". They should keep the interest of the people at heart. And we should keep such unscrupulous scoundrel at bay. Such people where present when India struggled for independence and they will remain to exist. People should be able to recognize them and avoid their traps. Under such situation, as we are in , we should identify our self as "Indian", nothing less , nothing more. We should always keep in mind ours' is a "unity in diversity". And should never forget the values and virtues that were taught to us by the father of our nation. We should join in the pain of our brothers and sisters who are the victims of this horrendous act and must realize this could happen to us too. Criminals are always criminals and we should never side with them. But the same time war is never the answer to punish these people as war makes civilians its victims and criminals reaps during war. |

Something has to be done to make sure this doesn't happen again to us... ensuring the gathering & availability of intelligence accross defence & security bodies to avoid & warn about possibility of such attacks...and the availability of highly trained immediate action task force to control these situations is a must.... these are just few things which come to mind iam sure the think tanks can suggest better plans!! |
